WORKSHOPS & CREATIVE POP-UPS

WORKHOPS - In person or online.

Since 2015 I have been delivering creative workshops for people of all ages. These normally have a starting point, a theme, exhibition or material process. I have worked with children aged 4 - 18, older more vulnerable adults as part of a series for Dementia Awareness week and a group of young people with additional needs from a specialist school in Dorset, supporting them through their Arts Award.

Whilst in post for three years at Bridport Arts Centre and Dorchester Arts, leading their exhibition and participation programmes I had valuable insight into how to design and lead fulfilling and informative workshops that are inspired by work in a space.

In addition to this I have been an assistant youth theatre director and supported the creation of several productions alongside technicians and Artistic Directors. I’m a qualified TEFL teacher and have worked in the UK, Mexico and Italy teaching English both in more traditional formats, but also through play, song and creative activities to all ages.

I like to make sure that I know as much as possible about the group I am working with before hand; interests, abilities what they want to get from the workshop > artwork , joy, the meaning of life! (I can’t help here I’m afraid although I think workshops help get closer to the answer!)
